Online Casino Awaiting Outcome of US Legislations |
| This is an uncertain time for the online casino industry. For the past few months, almost a year, online casino sites have been waiting to find out what their future is. American legislators who are determined to ban online casinos in the country have been pushing to adapt a current law that does not allow telephone gambling, to include wagering at the online casino. Many analysts are sure that the laws banning online casinos will not pass, but some of the heads of leading online casino sites are scared to make too many business decisions until this law is decided. The online casinos have to decide if to move their focus off the North American markets and into other yet un-penetrated markets such as Asia and South America. Some online casinos are translating their sites into additional languages with the plan move their reliance from English speaking customers to the rest of the world. Most online casino sites are going on with business as usual and are not making any dramatic changes. The possibility of the banning of online casinos in America is slight, but it is still hanging over the companies heads. Online casinos will have to decide when the time is right, what they will have to do if this threat is realized. |
