Online Casino Players Make a Difference with Their Votes |
| Mid-term elections took place on November 7th and the results show that votes made by online casino fans who were incensed and angry due to the recent online casino ban passed by congress, made a difference. The Democrats won the elections and are now in control of both houses of Congress for the first time in 12 years. It just goes to show that the online casino industry is big enough and strong enough to make itself heard. Prior to the elections there were many articles written predicting that the votes of the angry online casino players would very possibly what was needed to make a difference in the elections. The Republicans brought these results upon themselves by passing the online casino ban. Online casino fans were also called upon to vote for the Democrats in order to show their outrage. One particular Republican, Jim Leach of Iowa who was very active in the bill that restricted banks from processing online casino gambling transactions, was ousted from his seat by Dave Loebsack with the help of the online casino gambling industry’s “Green Velvet Revolution”. Leach would almost definitely have kept his seat if he had not been targeted by enraged online casino gamblers because of his ‘moral crusade’ against online casinos and poker rooms. Senator Jon Kyl was also targeted by the online casino gamblers but he survived. The online casino players definitely helped the Democrats reach their victory. The question now is how will the Democrats pay back the online casino industry? |
