The publication Techworld has recently published an article that deals with the many problems that the US may encounter when trying to enforce the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. According to that article, most online casino gamblers will still be able to deposit money at their favorite site, although the process will be a bit more difficult. Players are finding alternative ways for depositing money at the online casino sites, and some of those methods are virtually untraceable. It is important to clarify that the recent legislation does not criminalize the act of gambling itself, but instead it tries to disrupt financial transactions between the players and their online gambling sites of choice.
"If you use a check, most chances are that you'll be fine" says Frank Catania, a former New Jersey gambling regulator. According to the experts, the Federal Reserve will not enforce banks to screen personal checks, which means that online casino players will remain safe in that area. Even if checks are not your favorite option, many alternative methods for depositing at the online casino already exist, and more are expected to be created in the following months.
Most analysts and experts don't expect the ban to end online gambling, and as Michael Bolcerek, president of the Poker Players' Alliance, says: "The prohibition doesn't work and it won't stop online casino players from gambling online". According to Techworld, the Congress could still decide to roll back and modify the anti-online casino law, as more and more gamblers around the US are starting to complain about this ridiculous ban.
