Vietnam Takes Down Online Casino Sports Operation
Vietnamese online casino fans will have to wait a little longer before they can enjoy online casino gambling legally. Although, the South East Asian country is planning a program to regulate online casino gambling in Vietnam, the Vietnamese police is still conducting its business as usual. The police force of the city of Ho Chi Minh has taken down an online gambling sports betting ring that was operating in the province. The gambling operation catered for the people of the city, as well as the near by reigns and police report that some $400,000 were confiscated.

The major operation was a football betting ring that offered sports gambling through the internet. People were able to access the online casino site and place bets on sporting events. Gambling though the internet is still illegal in Vietnam, and the authorities are taking their job seriously. The police raid was a result of a few weeks of preparation and work of some 100 agents. 14 people said that they were involved in taking bets for the online casino sports betting ring, and they were arrested.

Hopefully, the Vietnamese government will promote its regulation program and the online casino gambling industry could offer online gambling without worrying about legal actions. The United States' market is no longer the main concern of the industry and most online casino gambling operators are focusing on Europe and Asia. It would be wise for the Asian governments to adopt regulation models. The financial impact on their economy can be huge.
