| If you are a big fan of blackjack then you have probably heard of the MIT blackjack team who figured out a mathematical way to beat the game of blackjack at the land-based casino. How did they do this you ask? They used a simple method of counting cards. Now I know the next question on your mind is can I use this trick at the online casino? The answer to that is sadly, no. The online casino blackjack table uses virtual card decks, therefore their 'shuffling' is done differently then at a real blackjack table. In addition, unlike at live casinos, at the online casino you do not necessarily know when the deck is being shuffled and therefore, cannot start your count again. The MIT blackjack team made hundreds of thousands of dollars with their method. However, even if the online casino developed deck algorithms that were identical to the land-based casino, regular gamblers would be unable to break the game. The MIT team used a team strategy that most online casino players would be unable to perform. You are probably thinking that a ride along card counting program would probably do the trick to help you break the bank at the virtual blackjack table. But I assure you that the online casino already planned against these programs. The online casino knows that most people want to win money. They therefore make sure that their algorithms remain random so that no ride along program would have the ability to count the cards. Consider the fact that the online casino is a business like any other; the second a "cheat" program is developed they must change their technology. Therefore, it is easier to keep these programs at bay rather than redrafting their software once they appear. Trying to beat the game of virtual blackjack is not an easy task. You better settle for the fact that with a little luck and the right game strategy, you can still win at the online casino. |
