Crazy Online Casino Marketing Ploys |
| It's that time again my online casino friends, yes that's right, time to make fun of some off the wall online casinos. This time it seems, that one online casino has hit the proverbial jackpot with their recent purchase in hopes of bringing a name to their site. This online casino, and similar ones, have done some crazy things in the past, such as purchasing an X-box box, no I didn't repeat box twice by accident, with an image of Jesus on it. And yet even more disturbing, purchasing Britney Spears used pregnancy test. All these crazy ploys just to get their online casino into the news and thus bring in the players. As I have discussed before, clever marketing ploys are not what makes a good online casino. An online casino should supply its members with things like good games and an eCOGRA seal of approval, to verify that you are not only playing at a well advertised online casino, but at a safe one as well. But back to the newest and craziest online casino ploy. I hope you're sitting down because this one certainly does take the cake. Have any of you read recently that Star Trek star William Shatner recently passed some kidney stones? No? Well, perhaps you should start reading Star Weekly. Not the point, the point is is that Mr. Shatner has done both a crazy and great thing by selling his kidney stones to an online casino. Now wait, before you go crazy, you must hear the price tag on said kidney stones - $25,000. Yes, that's right boys and girls, an online casino basically gave William Shatner $25,000 for a kidney process. However, the good news is, Shatner did not keep this money, in fact he donated all of it to Habitat for Humanity, which was a fantastic gesture. As for the online casino? Well even Jimmy Kimmel stated that he wishes he had his hands on this piece of Star Trek memorabilia, so turns out that maybe this wasn't the worst thing that this online casino could have done. However, it certainly is one of the nuttiest. |
