Online Casino Poker Craze Hits the Silver Screen |
| It seems that all around the world online casino fans are getting into poker. And it doesn't stop there, even Hollywood screen writers love the game of poker. In fact, two new movies that are due out later this year have to do with the world wide online casino craze. First off is the Eric Bana/Drew Barrymore film "Lucky You". This movie revolves around land-based casino poker tournaments; frankly, the only reason it's not about online casino tournaments is because Las Vegas is a bit more appealing than somebody's living room. Next is the new 007 film "Casino Royale", which stars Daniel Craig as 007. The original James Bond Casino Royale book was based on the popular land and online casino game of baccarat. However, because poker has become so widely known over the past few years changed the game over to poker seems like the right choice. Although this movie is not due out till late November it is already generating quite a bit of media buzz. Considering the fact that almost every online casino player has watched at least one 007 movie and has played a hand or two of poker, intrigue in Casino Royale is not at all surprising. Hollywood's love affair with poker does not stop at these two movies.
