| The highest ranking hand in online casino poker is five of a kind. This is only possible when the game includes jokers or wild cards because naturally there are only four of a kind in card games. Not all online casino sites use wild cards or jokers. If more than one online casino player has five of a kind, the winner is determined according to the type of card (ace high etc). A straight flush is the best natural hand when the player has five cards in sequence of the same suit. An ace-high straight flush is called a royal flush. Four of a kind is when a hand contains four cards of the same rank. The hand with the highest ranking cards beats other four of a kind hands. A full house is when the online casino poker player has three of a kind, and a pair, and a flush is hand consisting of all the same cards in one suit, but in no particular order. A straight is a hand consisting of five cards in sequence order, but not from the same suit. Three of a kind is when the online casino poker player has a similar hand to the four of a kind, but one card less. Two pairs is a hand that contains only two pairs, while one pair is hand consisting of only one pair. This is almost the worst hand in online casino poker. There are various different types of online casino poker – seven card stud poker, let it ride poker, Caribbean stud poker, Pai gow poker and Texas hold’em poker.
