Online Casino Poker Threat
So you love to play online casino poker. You love the game, the strategy, the thrill, the uncertainty, but most of all, you love the bluff. What would happen if, while playing either online casinos poker or the land-based version of this classic game, all of those aspects no longer existed? What if you were just playing against, let’s say, a bot? Would you still enjoy the game? Or would it turn you off to this casino favorite and have you searching for a new form of entertainment at the online casino?

This could happen. With the onset of online casino poker bots, the threat to online casinos is growing. Why, you ask? Because it is difficult for a human to defeat a computer or machine which simply calculates numbers and odds. The personal factors are thrown out the window – a bot has no feelings, no gestures, and no facial expressions to judge. For many this takes out the fun and excitement of the game. ‘The casinos know that our bots are a threat to there business. Once people realize that a computer program can beat them they will not play online anymore. At least that is the worry of the casino owners,’ said David Glazen, owner of Poker Bot Pro.

Even though many online casinos have full-time computer programmers on hand to detect whether or not online casino players are using bots, these new poker software machines are growing in number. Exactly how effective these bots are or may become in the future is still unknown. David Glazen seems to feel that poker bots will one day render online poker obsolete. Will poker bots reach a popularity point where online casinos poker players will simply play bot against bot, instead of person against person? Only time will tell.
